During the last two years, we've worked hard to build k6; a modern open-source load testing tool. k6 was released publicly in early 2017; it has already received over 5,000 stars on Github and has an active and growing community of users and contributors.
Why did we build k6?
After years of experience, we found most of the load testing tools were too simple or too complex, or they were not designed specifically for developers. We decided to create k6 to have a tool that developers could love for API performance testing. If you want to know more, you can read the principles and foundation supporting k6:
k6 is still in its early days, and now, we're looking for our first k6 advocate to grow the community to the next level. Your responsibilities will be to help increase k6 awareness within different Dev communities and educate on using k6 to boost the adoption of performance testing within engineering teams.
Due to our small teams and fast development pace, you will have a high degree of autonomy and support to get your message and initiatives out. You will be an ecosystem influencer and user advocate having a substantial and immediate impact on the k6 community, marketing, and product.
Load Impact is a remote-first company. If you are located in Stockholm, you can work from the office, otherwise, you can work 100% remotely.
About Load Impact
Load Impact is the world’s most widely used online load testing service, with over 100,000 users from 190+ countries and over 3 million executed load tests!
We are a small company but very experienced in developing applications for performance testing and monitoring. We started out as a software development consulting company way back in 2000, developing performance test and measurement software for customers such as Nasdaq and the European Space Agency. We built both low-level networking software and high-level web user interfaces and became quite good. At Load Impact, we pride ourselves on understanding the lower levels of networked applications while at the same time realizing the importance of UX. In 2009 we launched loadimpact.com, becoming a product company rather than a consulting company, and we have never looked back.
Recruiting is ongoing. We will respond to your application immediately. If you don’t have a CV ready, just send us a link to your Github/LinkedIn with a few sentences about yourself!
